Holy cow, it's been exactly a year! Gotta love continuity.

This year was relatively quiet in terms of what I was doing on ACC. I hadn't been writing much because I was so busy with school. I'm officially done with the pre-professional part of my pharmacy curriculum and I'm going on to my first professional year! I'm super excited but that's not the only reason I'm excited. I have recently broken my long long writing hiatus and finally posted a brand new story to the boards The Great Escape! It takes on inspiration from Agatha Christie's novels with a bit of Animal Crossing twist into it. I have gotten very ahead of schedule so literally no one has to worry about me not updating for a while or ignoring the story or letting it stave off.

The Great Escape is conceptually finished in my Word Document and notebook and I will soon be moving on to another new story. I caught up reading Computerfan's old classic work But What If Animals Did Walk and his sequel But What If Animals Did Talk and I'm trying to read other people's fics to really promote the CW board again. As long as everything stays on schedule, The Great Escape will span throughout the summer and the new fic will probably hit the boards in the fall/winter. I'm super excited to finally be back into writing and ENJOYING it.

There's also some other news that I will tease but I can't talk about it just yet. Stay tuned for news on July 1st. So I would like to thank you guys so much for being my friend, constantly reading and supporting my stories, and reading these blog entries even when it doesn't seem like I'm alive on ACC LOL!

Until next summer,

Liv

2016 News

Another year, another blog entry! I always seem to say the year flies, but it really does. I finished my freshman year of college and it has been an amazing experience so far. I've made some great friends and did awesome in all my classes. Between the last blog entry and now, Heart of Expectations ended and I immediately released another story: Sprinter. It had more of a dystopian, political, realistic plot aspect which mirrored more of our modern society.

I admit, I didn't do a great job of balancing ACC and writing with school. I've always said that real life comes first and everything--especially in the spring--got so much busier that real life and time got away from me. After I finished Sprinter, I came to the realization that I had released back to back stories and kept my writing train going for a while. Three stories in a row including Sprinter were released back to back and the flow shifted smoothly.

I announced in the spring of 2016 I was taking a hiatus from writing to give myself a break and keep my creative faculties steaming. This gave my brain plenty of time to focus on schoolwork, relax under the pressure of too many responsibilities, and replenish creative ideas of stories. Now, I've been making a return to ACC and I am actually working on getting Sprinter uploaded to the Story Archives. That should be done very soon, so please keep an eye out.

I don't honestly know if anybody pays these blogs any mind, but I do wanna say to all the silent people out there, I appreciate your support so much. You've kept me going and you've given me a reason to write. I love to write exciting stories for you guys and I have enjoyed befriending you and getting closer with you over the months and years. I may still be on hiatus, but I am planning on getting back into the swing of things soon.

Thank you all for being there and I hope to see you soon! ;D

2015 News

Wow, another year gone by. I'm sure there's probably no one left so I'm just talking to myself. But that's okay. For posterity's sake, I don't mind updating the blog. It has been a year after all.

Senior year was amazing. I graduated high school and am going on to college. Summer Sun has finished since I last wrote about it in my 2014 News post. It's fully posted on this website under the Story Archives. Between 2014 and now, same-sex relationships are now allowed in ACC fanfic. Taking full advantage of the new rule (because you know me, I'm a renegade.), I have a brand new story on the boards.

It's called Heart of Expectations. I am having a lot of fun writing this story as well. Check it out on the Creative Writing board on ACC! I know how I always said that I can't be addicted to ACC when I'm in college, but I still hope to be able to enjoy writing on the boards and working as a Researcher for longer. :)

Again I want to thank you all for your consistent, constant support and patronage. I love what I do and I couldn't be doing if it weren't for you guys.

Wow, it really has been forever. I apologize about that. It's been crazy lately. Just now, I've finally gotten a chance to post on here. From October 2013 to now, I've been really busy with school and soccer. Now I have some more time for ACC. I have been working on stories but my inactivity has caused me to drop them and have them archived.

Embarrassed yet not stopped, I finally have a new story called Summer Sunshine. It'll be a fun mix between cutesie NL tribute story and exciting new plot story. So check it out on ACC! Update 002b is out today so the board is officially called "Creative Writing."

For those of you have been on this website and continually come back to read, I thank you so much. I will be adding in a new story I worked on over the interim called Aika Village. It's just a really short story I finished a while back.

Enjoy!

Fall 2013 Updates--Lots of news!

Posted by Liv on October 23, 2013 at 1:50 PM Comments comments (0)

It's been a while since I've updated this. In about June/July, I last posted here. Now it's October...almost Halloween. A lot has happened since i've last posted a blog entry. For one, I became a researcher on the site. This heavily affected my ability to write since I had to focus on other things, but now I've balanced both things evenly. Secondly, I became a judge in Computerfan's 2013 Competition. It was an exciting feeling for me and it shows how far I've come. I used to be a small, freelance writer on the site but now I've ascended to places where I could never imagine I would be in.

I could never have gotten there without you guys. Over the summer, during the New Leaf burst since it was just released, I didn't have the game. Since I didn't have the game, I sorta just wrote a lot. ((I got the game in August. I love it! ))

That caused me to get way ahead on Perfection and the Hacker 3. That ended up helping out later, with researcher and judge jobs. For the most part, things went smoothly. In about the latter half of September (I want to say approximately, I'm unsure), the unexpected happened.

Computerfan resigned as host and gave me rights to the competition. Everything from the main thing to Battle of the Best (also known as BOTB) was now mine. It was so surreal. Still is now. I took over the competition because it has stood as a symbol of Computerfan's fanfiction contributions to ACC and a symbol of achievement and admiration for writers on the site. As a younger kid, I looked up to that and admired everyone involved. Winning it, becoming a judge, and now owning it is just...crazy honestly.

But anyways, I have a lot on my plate. xD I'm fine with it though. I love researching and I love running the competition. I didn't want to let it fall in the gutter. This year honestly is rocky because of inactivities but I estimate this will wrap up sometime in winter/spring of 2014, then over the summer/fall I'll be holding auditions for the 2014 competition and I hope a lot will be different by then. One thing to inwardly note is that I'll be a busy senior but I'm going to strap on the challenges as much as possible.

As of right now, Perfection and the Hacker 3 is wrapping up! The last chapter will be posted tonight. The very last chapter. It's quite astonishing. It feels like yesterday I posted the first chapter for PATH 1. An epilogue will be posted Friday then...that's it. It's not going to be locked yet though. I'm keeping it open until January 2014, which will be PATH's 3 year anniversary. Then it will be closing later that week. It will be very weird to not see Perfection and the Hacker on the board anymore. To make things clear, there will be no PATH 4. I know I said the same thing about there being no PATH 2, but I mean it this time. d=

In the interim, I will be working on rewrites so estimate that sometime after PATH 3 closes, there will be a PATH 1 rewrite. It will have much more description than the old PATH 1. It'll still contain the same charm and material but it will have more description, fixed typos, and stuff like that. In the meanwhile, you can entertain yourself by reading The Time Traveler, my newest addition to the boards. It's about a mayor that discovers the art of time traveling and changes everything.  My summary sucks but you'll like it. ;D

Anyways, I can't thank you guys enough for all the support you've given me! I honestly can't believe how far I've come, and it's all because of you! Without the votes, the comments, the friendships, I don't know what I'd be on ACC. Everything has been amazing and again, I have to thank you guys.   =-D *inserting the nose because this markup is terrible* Please continue to support me as this chapter closes, and another one opens.

Summer and Story Info

Posted by Liv on June 14, 2013 at 9:15 PM Comments comments (1)

It's been a while since the last news entry. I've been pretty busy with PATH 3. At one point, just a while back, I was in a little bit of a writing slump and my updates were only monthly. However, with the recent release of Animal Crossing New Leaf for the 3DS, I was inspired to write and play Animal Crossing again. Since summer is around the corner and school is basically over, I have a lot more time to do things.

I had a family emergency with my pet but thank God she's okay and recovering now. I want to thank you guys again for your support. I don't know if you're still active around here or not. If you aren't, it's okay and understandable. I'm in the process of planning out a new story that will be somewhat different from what I've done before. I'm not sure which plot to use but I'm going to have it out by July. I've been writing so much for PATH 3 that I'm ahead. I plan to continue that rhythym so I can focus on the new story once it's released.

PATH 3 has been in a simple dormancy but the action will be picking up a little bit as we enter the third quarter of the story. But anyways, thank you guys so much for all your support. I really appreciate it and I wouldn't be anywhere without it. Enjoy playing your New Leaf (because I'm never getting it even though I want to. ;D)

My computer being stupid

So basically, I can't change the website out of this festive winter theme because my computer says the log-in thing to manage the website is a malicious phishing threat. Maybe this is just my security system. If anyone else is having problems, or not having problems, let me know!

2013

Happy new year everyone. It's been a great 11 days for me so far. I'm confident that this year will be wonderful. After closing out 2012 with a victory in Computerfan's competition and successfully closing Recovery (and posting it to this website in a matter of minutes), I'm also positive that it will be an inspirational year for new stories. This is the beginning of a new chapter of life on ACC, and closing an old one. With the closing of PATH 1 on Feb. 14, I am closing a chapter that will stick with me forever. However this year will open up many new opportunities for me.

Thank you all for your support. I hope you continue to keep tabs on this website to see what's up, and read and support my stories.

A New Era of Stories and Competitions

Posted by Liv on October 5, 2012 at 10:55 PM Comments comments (0)

I've locked Perfection and the Hacker 2 about two weeks ago. It closes one-third of the chapter on my old writings. I'm going to focus on new writings from here on out. Around Easter of next year, I will be locking Perfection and the Hacker 1. Then when Perfection and the Hacker 3 is over, I'll be locking that. My focus is going to be on different fanfiction. I had been writing the Mystery of ACE with my best friend ElizabethPrower. However, there's been recent complications with ACE. I might post the Mystery of ACE stories on here if we can salvage all the chapters together. The threads got locked so I don't know what will happen with that.

Right now, I'm working on Recovery and AnimalStuck. Recovery is a present-tense, first person story about a convict. AnimalStuck is a spoof/parody/crossover sort of script that combines ACC, Animal Crossing and Homestuck. In the past, I got a decent standing in Dougieowner's 2012 competition, so thank you for that! The PATH series got 4th place, the MoACE series got 2nd, but technically it was under ElizabethPrower's name. Right now I'm in Computerfan's mini fanfic competition with Recovery. I hope you support me!  = D

One Year Anniversary Speech

Posted by Liv on January 18, 2012 at 1:35 PM Comments comments (1)

I'm posting my speech early because I know it'll be long. Sorry. [Blushes] If you pull a tl;dr, that's fine but you're missing out in the long run. =p

Let's begin. Firstly, one of our readers--Grazuki, also known as Michelle--passed away recently from cancer. The other day, I changed my avatar early in memoriam. The sadder part is that I talked to her recently. She posted on the thread (page 29 to be exact if you would like to look) and she said she went back and re-read it and that is was just as amazing as the first time she read it. I thanked her and told her...I told her that I hoped she would be here for the anniversary special. Unfortunately...she's not. I know however, that she would have loved to be here. Let us take a moment to remember her. Whether you knew her or not, if you're here you have one similarity to her: you were both PATH readers. Now, let's take a moment of silence.

....

...

...

...

Sigh. Let's make this memorable. I'm going to start off with how I originally started the speech.

When I started Perfection and the Hacker 1 a year ago, I was just being a writer. Doing what writers do. Write. I wanted a story with all description. Lying in bed one night, I came up with the plot. As I added more and more in my mind, it seemed genius. When I posted Perfection and the Hacker, it got such good reception! I was so happy. But this isn't all about me. It's about the story in general and its success. I'm not the sole reason Perfection and the Hacker is successful. I'm the author but at the same time, this would be nothing if it wasn't for you guys and God. I know I've even inspired you to take up writing yourself. That makes me happy. That ensures me I'm not writing in vain.

If I was writing in vain, I'd be sad. Even if this was the 1-year anniversary because that symbolizes I've accomplished nothing. But I have. This brings about another subject. Do I write for fame? No. And the people who are famous writers don't even write for fame. They write because it's their passion. People realize that. I'm not writing for fame. It's obvious who the people writing for fame are. You can easily tell them apart from the others. All I'll say is that the famous are not famous because they wanted to be famous. They're famous because they have brilliant minds, have penned up amazing stories and are passionate, skilled writers. That's what makes you famous. But it's like losing or winning the infamous "game". If you think about it in even the slightest, you lose. But if you don't think about the game, you win. But you don't know you win because if you're winning, you're not thinking about it. Ha! Hopefully that didn't confuse you. But that's not what this speech is about.

This speech is about commemorating the anniversary of Perfection and the Hacker 1 and helping you guys realize what a writer really is. If you haven't noticed, I'm modest. I'm giving other people credit for success. But not the credit for writing the story. Get what I'm saying? You guys have made Perfection and the Hacker what it is today. Perfection and the Hacker is still, to this day, bringing in new readers and that makes me happy as well.

It was so much fun developing the characters and writing the first book. I also loved to see your reactions and comments to each and every chapter. The whole experience of writing Perfection and the Hacker 1 was amazing and I can't wait till I repost it in the future with more description. Of course, first, I have to finish the sequel and start the trequel. I really hope you guys all stay and support Perfection and the Hacker 2 and 3. It will be more amazing than before.

I don't think I've expressed enough my major gratitude towards you guys. I'm the writer but you've made this--Perfection and the Hacker's success--all possible. PATH is in its golden age right now! I'm not trying to sound cocky or conceited so if I am, I apologize. I just really hope that this lasts almost forever. Of course, good things have to come to an end sooner or later. But that's not the case here. Perfection and the Hacker isn't leaving these boards for a while. =D

So this speech may seem short but the objective is pretty clear. We're here to commemorate the first posting of Perfection and the Hacker. After this speech, if you guys would like to share any memories of PATH and you reading it, that would be great. If not, that's okay too and you guys can anxiously await the surprises at hand.
